Little Miss Cheyanne

Skiing at Blue Mountain

This past Sunday (Feb 24) we got in our annual ski day at Blue Mountain in Collingwood. Heather & Vanessa came along with us. Max decided he didn't want to go to ski school this year so no lessons for him. He skied with the big people all day. I hung out in the chalet, found a great window seat/table and watched all our stuff and read and sipped coffee and had a birds eye view of it all. :)

(We brought our own lunch. Someone was sooooo disappointed. Apparently he had been dreaming about/looking forward to a hotdog and fries all day long....something he's enjoyed other years. So we stuck to our lunch from home and he managed to convince us to get his hotdog and fries combo.)

Family Day

Our plans for Family Day Weekend changed at the last minute. Initially thought we were going to Zhenders Splash Park in Frankenmuth and do a little outlet shopping on the side.  Due to some change of plans, which meant we didn't have two full days to be away, we decided to go to Buffalo and get a hotel with a nice pool and go to the outlets there. Half the drive time to get to Buffalo compared to Frankenmuth. In retrospect...we should have probably just delayed our plans for a weekend later in March. Outlet shopping for a 9 year old boy is no fun. Shopping of any kind is not fun. And I know that. I've had 9 years of experience with him knowing that. What was I thinking? Anyway. Live and learn. We did have a fun time. LeeAnne came with us. Stayed at the lovely Marriott. Watched the movie Parental Guidance....funny funny funny. Ate some yummy food at Olive Garden...Bob Evans...Chili's. Yum. And we got what we came for...shoes and cologne for Keith. So it all worked out. Too bad there wasn't a Zhenders Splash Park close by.

Sunday afternoon before we left, Max arrived home from shinney at the Van Rooyens. Love his rosy cheeks. :)
