Friday night we received our first snowfall of the season. Prior to that we enjoyed quite the balmy weather all week. Keith had been out west on business all week and returned home later on Friday evening. He drove straight from the airport to Stratford to meet up with Max at Boys Club where they were bowling with the dads and going to Tim Horton's afterwards. It wasn't the nicest weather to be out driving in that night.
Someone was extremely pleased with the snowfall that arrived during the night. Saturday morning's agenda had outdoor play written all over it! So needless to say, we dug out the winter snowpants and boots and hats and mitts and gloves and scarves and touques and coats. Tis the season indeed.
Unfortunately, it wasn't the packing kind of snow. While a snowman was out of the question, Max managed to get one big snowball stuck together. To tease his dad with...
The snowball may have *ahem* landed inside the top of Keith's boot...a not so humorous moment?! At least for one of the individuals involved!
A lot of Saturday was spent outdoors. Keith and Max explored the woods, following wild turkey tracks and seeing what they could all discover. I battled with the Christmas tree and by the time evening rolled around, it was glowing and decorated. Sunday morning we all went to church. Max had a hockey game against Arthur (we lost 5-2) in the afternoon. James & Donna and the boys came to watch his game and afterwards they came over for pizza and the Grey Cup. A lovely way to close off the weekend!
Also this weekend, the colour went crazy on our upstairs TV. We are currently viewing everything in vividly glowing shades of green. It's just lovely. We will need to figure out how/when/where we want to replace it. Until we do, shades of green it is.
Another busy week is on tap this week. Here's hoping the winter weather keeps itself under control. Then it will all be good!
