**Snow Day**

This past Friday was a snow day. Not just any snow day either. It was the FIRST snow day that Max has had since we've been back in Ontario. When you're not a "bus kid" and live in town....schools rarely shut down due to the weather.  We made the most of the day. Hot chocolate at 9:00am? Why not?!

We baked up a batch of oatmeal raisin cookies....

All kinds of activities were pulled out and played with...

Soup for lunch...

and all the while, the snow kept accumulating...

The best part of a snow day....playing out in the snow numerous times. Max started with shovelling a path on the back deck...

Apparently, it works better using a hockey stick? Hmmm. Not too sure about that.

I was the recipient of many snowballs while I was shovelling the front...

Tunnelling...

While some of us were busy playing in the snow, gulping down hot chocolate and doing whatever else, Keith was busy sitting on a plane. And not moving. He was flying home from Red Deer, AB and had to sit in the plane for 2.5 hours in Toronto once they landed, before they could get out. Due to weather, flights were delayed which resulted in having to wait for an empty gate to disembark. He landed around 1:00pm and finally rolled in our driveway at 6:30pm. It worked out kind of nice that Boys Club was cancelled that night... all three of us were home together and a lovely wintery snowed-in evening watching Duck Dynasty. ;)
